Carlos Caldart
Carlos Caldart co-founded Splight in 2021. He holds a Bachelor's and MSc in Biomedical Engineering, an MSc in Nuclear Physics, and a PhD in Science and Technology focused on applied mathematics, with research experience spanning AI and electronics. His career has centered on modeling and controlling complex systems with advanced mathematical methods. Splight builds DCM™, a real-time AI reliability layer that unlocks capacity on existing power lines — enabling grids to connect more renewables and new demand without waiting for new transmission. The technology is live on across 30+ clients in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. At Splight, Carlos works across the full arc of the product: from developing AI models and control algorithms to client engagement and deployments in live grid operations — an end-to-end view that keeps client experience flowing directly back into the technology.
