Carolina Dams
Carolina Dams is the Dean of IAE Business School, where she also serves as a professor. Her academic interests include access to growth capital, valuation, venture capital, angel investing, and corporate venturing. She has dedicated herself to academia since 2013, teaching courses on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial finance. She served as Dean of the School of Business at Universidad Austral (2015–2019) and was a member of the IAE Executive Board from 2019 to 2021, leading the Programs and Innovation division. Previously, she founded an angel investment fund focused on tech startups and served as an investor and mentor at the accelerator NXTP. She was a director at the biotechnology company Keclon SA and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Germinare Foundation. In 2005, she co-founded a consulting firm that advised a venture capital fund, actively participating in the identification, evaluation, and structuring of investments. Earlier in her career, she worked at Hermes Management Consulting. Carolina holds a PhD in Business Management from IAE Business School and an MBA from London Business School.
