Gonzalo Del Castillo
Gonzalo David Lot del Castillo holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He is the Executive Director of the Club of Rome Argentina, coordinator of the Latin American Network of the International Club of Rome, and founder of the Center for Sustainability for Local Governments (CeSus). He serves as an advisor and consultant to public and private organizations (IDB, C40, ECLAC, WHO/PAHO) and directs the Diploma Program in Circular Economy (UNRaf) and the Diploma Program in Regenerative Development (Universidad Austral, Argentina). In the public sector, he worked at the Provincial Agency for Sustainable Development (OPDS) of Buenos Aires Province and served as the Environmental Innovation Officer at the Environmental Protection Agency (APrA). He also served as an advisor on environmental issues for the Buenos Aires City Legislature. At the national level, he coordinated—in partnership with the National Ministry of Environment—a project to scan for, identify, and implement circular economy opportunities; this initiative involved traveling across Argentina to identify and evaluate projects that utilized by-products to drive the socio-economic and environmental transformation of the country's various ecoregions. He currently serves as a Strategic Advisor to the Buenos Aires City Undersecretariat of Environment. He was a co-founder and president of the *Movimiento Agua y Juventud Argentina* (Water and Youth Movement Argentina) and Executive Secretary of the *Movimiento Agua y Juventud Internacional* (International Water and Youth Movement), roles in which he coordinated projects supported by UNICEF, the OIJ, and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO). Gonzalo is a regular contributor to the newspaper *La Nación*, a founding partner of the company Micelio.bio, and a member of La Ciudad Posible (a Certified B Corporation). He has organized and spoken at numerous national and international conferences and gatherings, consistently highlighting the need to create a new global ethical-environmental paradigm as a fundamental driver of change.
