Rodrigo Rodriguez Tornquist
Specialist in sustainable development and climate change policy. Holds a degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations (Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina) and has completed postgraduate studies in Environmental Management (UNSAM) and Public Policy (UdeSA). He served as a Research Fellow at MIT (2013–2014), Secretary of Climate Change, Sustainable Development, and Innovation at the National Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (2020–2021), and Undersecretary of Knowledge for Development at the Office of the President (2022). With extensive experience in international environmental negotiations, he served as a member of the Steering Committee of the UN International Resource Panel (IRP), Chair of the LEDS LAC Executive Committee, and Co-Chair of the T20’s 2030 Agenda Working Group. He chaired the UN 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (2020–2022) and directs the Diploma Program in Leadership for Transformation (CAF). He teaches at the UNSAM School of Habitat and Sustainability (EHyS), the ITBA School of Innovation, and in the Master’s programs in Public Sector Management (UCA) and Environmental Law and Policy (Austral). He is currently the Director of Sustainability Innovation at the Sustentar Association, Executive Secretary of the Observatory on Natural Capital and Finance for Nature in Latin America and the Caribbean (OCN LAC), and a founding partner of Nature Studio Global S.R.L.
